  • The Power of Asian Design

First of all, thank you inviting our creative director, Mr. Mann Lao to the 4th The Power of Asian Design.

    ▼

The Power of Asian Design has been held for the fourth time. It upholds the idea of broadening the horizons of Taiwanese design and coherent the forces of Asian design, attracting people who are interested in art and design to participate.

The seminar invited designers from Japan, the United States, India, Indonesia, Iran, Vietnam, Macao to share their international design perspectives and experiences.  Mr. Mann Lao, who was the Macao representative, shared his experience in the seminar and also conducted a design workshop on the theme — “Festival”.

    ▼

There are lots of ethnic festivals in Asia which are usually the inspiration of designers. Mr Mann Lao believes that designers should not just design a product to promote a festival, but letting people “to understand”, “to care” and “to enjoy” a festival with an interesting way of presentation.

    ▼

During the 2-day workshop, the students had learned a lot by expressing their ideas and creating works on festive culture. In the same way, Mr. Mann Lao also stated that he had gained a lot from them.
